Salt City Sound Machine, makes planning your wedding entertainment easy with a streamlined three-step process designed to ensure an unforgettable celebration.
Step 1: Booking
Securing your date is simple—just sign a contract and submit a down payment. Once booked, you’ll receive a Music Selection Packet, your first step in customizing the soundtrack of your big day. This packet includes:

- – Key moments throughout your reception where music plays a crucial role

- – Ceremony music options (if needed)

- – Song suggestions for every special moment

- – Sections for requests, must-play songs, and do-not-play lists
Step 2: Planning, Collaboration, & Music Selection
About a month before your wedding, we’ll meet to go over your music selections and craft a detailed timeline. This meeting ensures that every aspect of your wedding day is perfectly coordinated, covering:

- – Who is involved in each moment

- – The perfect music that you choice to accompany the special moments

- – Additional, but crucial details of the day.. from phonetic spelling of people’s names to ensure no one’s name is misspoken over the microphone, to any and all special announcements to the guests
This is a fully collaborative process—your vision comes first, and we’ll offer expert recommendations to help bring it all together.
Step 3: The Big Day
On your wedding day, the timeline goes into effect, and the organization around the details timeline means you can focus on celebrating. With a deep understanding of your timeline, we ensure every moment unfolds flawlessly, while still keeping things flexible in case last minute changes happen. From energizing the dance floor to keeping the schedule on track, we handle the details so you can enjoy the night without a worry.

At Salt City Sound Machine, organization meets customization—we’re here to make sure your wedding is everything you’ve imagined, your way.

❌ We DO NOT subcontract any of our contracted events. No secondary vendors, no passing it off to someone else.
❌ We DO NOT have a generic playlist that we play for every wedding. No “just pressing play” and sitting back, waiting for the event to end.
❌ We DO NOT believe in the DJ requiring full creative control over the music of your wedding
❌ We DO NOT show up on wedding days unorganized and unprepared in regard to the details of the day, our music cues, or any announcements that need to be made.
❌ We DO NOT take breaks or drink alcohol on the job
❌ We DO NOT have hidden or last minute extra charges
❌ We DO NOT shy away from emceeing, nor do we charge extra to emcee a wedding
✅ We DO commit to a wedding from the signing of the contract to the final note of the dance floor. If you hire Salt City Sound Machine, you’re getting Salt City Sound Machine.
✅ We DO believe that every wedding is unique, and so is the music. We customize everything to your vibe, reading the room and adjusting in real time.
✅ We DO believe that collaboration is the key. After all, it’s YOUR wedding. So we take your Requests, Must-Plays, Do-Not-Plays, or any Playlists you’d like to submit, and combine them with our own experience and expertise to create the perfect soundtrack.
✅ We DO meet with our couples ahead of time and create a timeline so everything runs smoothly, covering your first dance to the last song of the night and all the crucial details and moments in between.
✅ We DO offer continuous entertainment for the duration of the time on the contract, and approaching your wedding with the respect it deserves
✅ We DO believe in full transparency and offer an all-inclusive pricing model where everything is discussed up-front before the contract is signed.
✅ We DO use our emceeing skills to create a high-energy environment, while still establishing ourselves as the voice of the day.

Pricing
Salt City Sound Machine charges at an hourly rate of $250 per hour for the first 5 hours. Additional hours beyond the first 5 hours will be charged at a rate of $150 per hour.

- – All bookings require a $100 down payment. The down payment is deducted from your overall total. The balance is due the day of the event.

- – Weddings require a minimum 3 hour booking.

- – Any events taking place 40 miles outside of Syracuse, NY in any direction will require an additional travel fee.

- – While ceremony time is included in our price, off site ceremonies (ceremonies taking place in a different location than the venue property) will be subject to additional fee.
What’s Included?
For standard services, Salt City Sound Machine offers all-inclusive pricing with absolutely NO hidden charges. Many features that have long been considered “extras” by wedding DJs are included in Salt City Sound Machine’s pricing. This includes:

- – Equipment set up time before the event and tear down time after the event.

- – Music and microphones for on-site ceremonies (no extra charges, beyond the hourly rate)

- – Dance floor lighting

- – Announcements and Emcee Services

- – Event Coordination and Scheduling

- – In Person, Video, or Phone meetings

- – Song downloads

- – Use of the wireless microphone system

- – Two of our unique features, The Kiss Cam and The Infinite Playlist (More information below)
